GO-SIM ACQUIRES MAJOR COMPETITOR

One of the worlds leading international SIM card providers GO-SIM Limited has strengthened its position in the marketplace by acquiring major competitor Oneroam UK for an undisclosed sum.

GO-SIM, which has offices in the UK and the USA, has bought the assets of the Hampshire-based communications company Oneroam UK which, as from 1st March 2010, ceased trading.

GO-SIMs CEO David Agar said the acquisition is in accordance with the companys ambitious strategy for growth.

Since we founded GO-SIM in 2005 our sales objectives have always been underpinned by a strategy of both organic growth and acquisitions. We are always on the lookout for suitable companies to buy in order to grow more rapidly and in fact we are hoping to be able to announce a second acquisition very shortly.

To support its strategic aims for aggressive growth GO-SIM is also in discussions with another competitor, several network operators and a number of prospective investment funders.

Agar explained: GO-SIM is a progressive company and is not in the business of standing still. Our aim is to become the leading supplier of international prepaid SIM cards and
GO-SIMs management team is highly focused and determined to drive this ambition forward.

All of Oneroam UKs customers have been transferred across to GO-SIM which means they will still be able to make and receive calls for a fraction of the cost of using their normal SIM card while roaming.

Whats more they will also benefit from the lowest SMS international rates available anywhere in the world. For the first time they will also have access to GO-SIMs unique Voice2Email service which allows users to manage their emails from their mobile using simple voice commands and MyGO-SIM which enables customers to manage their SIM cards, add credit online and send free SMS.

GO-SIM also provides a 24/7, 365 days-a-year customer support service which can be accessed by telephone, email or via a live chat facility with one of its in-house team of experts.

Agar concluded: GO-SIM customers will not notice any difference to the excellent service they currently receive but Oneroam customers will notice a big difference and can look forward to receiving superior products and first-class levels of customer support.
