New Research Reveals Best Restaurants For Customer Satisfaction

New figures from global market research firm ORC International revealed Prezzo, YO! Sushi, Nandos, Carluccio’s and Giraffe are gaining high praise for strong customer service.

More than 1,000 consumers were surveyed by customer loyalty experts ORC International about their recent restaurant experience across 13 brands, and YO! Sushi received top recommendations from its loyal customer base, with 57% very likely to recommend. However, Italian eatery Carluccio’s was hot on the sushi chain’s heels, with a recommend score of 55%. It was also came in at second place on food (60%) and brand (49%), and beat the competition for best value for the money, with over one third of customers rating it positively.

Of the larger high street brands, Nando’s features most prominently, rated third overall for customer satisfaction, but received top ranking for restaurant atmosphere.

With food-to-go end restaurants, Prêt A Manger takes the top spot for efficiency of service (58%), while Starbucks turns in the least impressive performance in this area (33%). Overall, Starbucks appears to the least loved brand on the UK right now, coming in last for nearly every measure.

ORC International surveyed 1,001 UK consumers who had visited a restaurant about their most recent experience. The survey was conducted in October 2012 and the restaurants included were YO! Sushi, Café Rouge, Carluccio’s, Giraffe, Gourmet Burger Kitchen, Nando’s, Pizza Express, Prezzo, Starbucks, Strada, wagamama and Zizzi.
