Pupils spread Christmas cheer at Brabyns House Care Home
Pupils at Brabyns Preparatory School in Marple, Cheshire, spread Christmas cheer to local care home Brabyns House when they performed a repertoire of Christmas songs for residents.
Led by Music and Drama Coordinator James Westall, pupils from the independent day school sang a medley of festive favourites, which they have been rehearsing ahead of their annual Christmas church service to mark the end of the school term.
Mr Westall said: “The children sang splendidly for the residents of Brabyns Care Home. The singing was very much appreciated, moving one old lady to tears.”
“We all felt very proud of ourselves for giving something back to the local community and to hear the clapping and tapping of walking sticks to our final number Jingle Bells left us all feeling full of Christmas spirit.”
The choir said: “Singing and making the old people happy is what Christmas is all about.”
